YDS Shop, located in Karaköy, Istanbul, presents a range of products for military, police, outdoor, and everyday use alongside a modern shopping experience. Its lighting design also creates a strong brand atmosphere. Variolux designed and manufactured the entire lighting system for these stores in line with the building’s architectural concept.

The VR400 linear luminaires, the backbone of the project, reinforce the holistic perception of the space by creating a continuous line of light on the ceiling. The VR114 track spotlights installed at the product sections and display windows bring out the details of the products with their high color rendering and support the visual appeal.

Linear cube-shaped frame lights, specially designed for mannequin areas, create focal points within the store by serving both display and attention-grabbing functions.

Taking into account both functional needs and brand identity throughout the project, the lighting design was meticulously optimized in terms of color temperature, lighting level, and layout. As a result, YDS Shop Karaköy has become not only a sales-oriented store, but also an impressive part of the brand experience.
